Holland finally got rid of the Flight Tax

In 2008 the Dutch Government introduced a flight tax – a flight tax that is not imposed in other countries in Europe.

As a result of this flight tax:

• Many jobs have been lost;
• Many more jobs were at risk;
• Flying has become needlessly more expensive;
• The Dutch competitive position was adversely affected.

So the flight tax had to go! This is what we have achieve now with this campaign. The government has announced the abolishment of this tax as per 1 juli 2009.
